Police Seek Information on Lotto Fraud Suspects

A Hispanic male and female convinced an elderly woman that they owned a winning lottery ticket and because they were in the United States illegally, they needed help collecting the sizable winning amount. Unfortunately, they required a large cash fee before they gave her ticket. Once she paid them, she never saw them again, and the ticket was a fake. If you recognize these subjects please call the Arlington County Police Department at (703) 558-2222.
Residents who are approached by strangers asking for assistance cashing a check, lottery ticket, or other monetary items, but are required to give a cash deposit first, should contact police immediately.
