BAILOUT. Yes, you better bailout before it crashes. The Hummer, wtf is that thing, an ugly gas guzzling tank, an oversized Aztek. ROFLMAO. If they would have built EV's and better fuel efficient vehicles, they wouldn't be in this position, instead, ExxonMobil would be asking for a bailout. They had their chance and crushed it, literally. BAILOUT, NO, NO, NO. BIG OIL won this hand and the automakers had the ace and crushed it.

The US was supposed to have a limited government b/c the founders knew political power attracts swarms of crooks, demagogues & despots as surely as horse manure attracts swarms of horseflies.

Politics was never meant to be a profession, ike diapers, should be changed often & for the same reasons ! Giving this Obama access to ur wallet is like giving a dog access to ur refrigerator !

The American Textile industry and the American Steel Industry once had a monopoly with no competition. But unions greed soon put them completely out of business. Textiles and steel are now made only in foreign countries. Unions will soon put GM and other US autoworkers out of business. The USA's biggest export is currently paper boxes which are used by foreign countries like china to ship products to the usa

The government thinks it can tell GM what to do now that they've given them money. Does that mean that the Chinese can tell us what to do since they've given us money?

Im tired of these bailouts, we have tons of auto companies to choose from, if they build bad crap like normal, they deserve to fail. Honda and Toyota make great cars and half of which are built in the USA Now! And you dont see them running to the government? Ever wonder why? They build GOOD RELIABLE CARS! They build cars people WANT! They cut their car line up years ago to keep being profitable, and yet the big 3 keep building cars no one wants that are so ugly and never last.

While the media is going all out and complaining about the 17 billion dollar bail out of GM, they say nothing about the GE (General electric) bail out of 140 billion dollars. WHAT'S UP WITH THE MEDIA THESE DAYS!!!

No UAW and management paycuts (35% is a start) then no taxpayer funded bailout. Why should taxpayers subsidize blue collar workers making $50-75.00 dollars per hour w/incredible medical and pension benefits? That is insane!! Pay'em $20.00 per hour to build Chevy's and Buicks.

More cars in the world, more pollutions, more gas price, more wasted time spend in traffic, more stress- more wars because of the greed to fuelled the trillions of vehicles on the road etc.,

God gave us 24 hours a day- and 99% complained it is not enough. Go figure.

Cars are polluting this world! think about it.

WHy not build a massive high tech transit rail - like Europe. Heck, over there they trash their cars and use bicycle.

I guess US wants to build HUGE automobile with big seats. etc., etc.,
