Ravi Shastri attacks Nasser Hussain and England

Harbhajan Singh clearly edged the ball as he was wrongly given out LBW during Stuart Broad's hat-trick. Ravi Shastri has a rant at Nasser Hussain and questions England's motives after the BCCI were targetted for turning down LBW's in the DRS by the English commentators during Day 2. Nasser Hussain was of the view that the exemption given to lbw hurt India when Harbhajan was given out. The on-air argument began when Nasser Hussain reffered to Ravi's comments on a tv show. Shastri responded with "They (England) are jealous about the way the IPL is going, jealous that India is No.1 in world cricket, jealous about the fact that India are world champions. They are jealous because of too much money being made by BCCI. Bottom-line is that they have never been No. 1 in the world in Test cricket." 2nd Test, Trent Bridge. July 2011

Hindsight is wonderful. India aren't World Champions in tests any more, in fact you can't even beat England on your home turf in tests, or t20 and it's 1-1 in ODI at the moment. India are the only country to object to DRS and on this occasion they got what they deserved. The more we see knackered Indian bowlers trudging in at below 80mph, the more thankful we are few of our guys play in the IPL. Love to hear Shastri back peddle from this video.

Did I say anything about Australia? No. When I read your comments the first time, I thought you were English, but now it seems you are an Aussie. My mistake. Please realise that I am a huge fan of the Aussie team. I was born and raised here, and I admire their side, because they've succeeded in all conditions. But the point I was trying to make is that England's recent record in Asia is no better than India's outside. Hence they were not worthy of the number 1 ranking either.

India has been whitewashed, thrashed, crushed, & humiliated in Australia 4-0 and then thrown in the dustbin like a used tissue paper. First india was whitewashed in England 4-0 then beaten in t20 format and then beaten in odis as well in England and then indian cows got banged by OZ kangaroos publicly. It just gives more evidence to the fact that world cup 2011 was fixed and IPL matches are fixed. Indians should only play inside india otherwise they will be keep on getting thrashed.

You praise England's performance in their own conditions, but don't forget their record in the sub continent is crap! I know we are also crap overseas, but you haven't even won a series in India for 20+ years, where as we won test series in England in 2007.
