  • tube incasements help even more when it comes to burning color and you can do it striking colors and it gives some kool efects but for non strinking colors it keeps it more true

    yeska

  • blue and green exotics are some of my favorite colors. and I have used them in tube encasements many many times, oxidizing baby, oxidizing. bethlehem or gtt have worked best for me when working these colors, maybe its because they are both laminar flow torches? perhaps more complete combustion? who knows, just know when i try the sam thing on a carlisle, color works way different. and I have found its way important to get it cased fast! thanks for the comment!

  • Hey man,i love your videos, and i love your work!I want to get into this,So i want to by my tools and some glass to work with, i want to try pendants at first, then pipes..so i want to chose hard glass.I didnt find anything here in Europe but i found a company 'sundanceglass' from the US that seems to have a large variety of products at low prices. What do you think, should i buy my equipment from them?

  • I would really check out winshipdesigns. dave winship has more knowledge and experience, not to mention the fact he has been in the game longer than most. their prices are spot on, and they never screw you over. they are even helpful in troubleshooting. give them a call. they are great.

  • Hey thanks for the response! Yes just propane. I have 2 striking colors in the group they sell together. It has a tiny strip in the middle to show you what color it will be. Casing...cool! Didn't know that. Yes I will certainly check it out a glass distributer. Wonderful! Thanks for the advice! God bless!

  • once you learn the characteristics of the striking colors, you will probably become fond of them, the possibilities are awsome.

  • Hello, I bought Moretti glass from someone on ebay. The pinks go gray when heated and the blues and greens get red streaks through it. Basically, a lot of the colors are turning ugly. Am I heating up the glass too much. I'm using MAPP gas. Thanks!

  • I just learned flame chemistry - WAY cool - who knew. Thanks for supporting us lampworkers. :)

  • wowsers

  • Can you add me as a friend so i can ask you some dumb questions i wanted to ask but couldnt cause of the friend lock thing...:)Thanks man.

  • Yes, I'm loving the 2 colors I have. Although I'm becoming forlorn because I am using them down to the nub now. I need more glass rods by golly! Thanks again!
