The Shelldance Orchid Gardens - Walking through the sliding wood door of the nursery is like entering into another world, somewhat prehistoric, somewhat fantasy, and very peaceful. The nursery has a magnificent rainforest display, highlighting its world famous exotic orchid and bromeliad collection. The nursery has been run by Nancy Davis, Michael Rothenberg and Bruce Rothenberg since 1976. The nursery is located at one of the four trailheads for Sweeney Ridge in Pacifica California, and is only open to the public on the weekends. However, tours for children, groups and individuals can be arranged between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday. For more information please call 650-355-4845
