The Music City Miracle is one of the most controversial plays in the history of the NFL. It occurred at the end of the Wild Card Playoff game between the Tennessee Titans and Buffalo Bills on January 8, 2000 (following the 1999 regular season) at (what was then) Adelphia Coliseum in Nashville, Tennessee.

  • "TENNESSEE HAS PULLED A MIRACLE!"

  • Haha people who say it's a foward pass are dumbasses. The BALL starts ahead of the line and the BALL is caught right on the line, it doesn't matter where the bodies are.

  • Not a forward pass..it was a lateral.

  • You just dont see plays like this anymore..... I was living in tennessee at the time and people were so excited.

  • In the NHL, a ref will say "There is no indisputable evidence to reverse the call." I think NFL referees, even though not saying that, will make the call based off that. In this case, the original call of a lateral stood because the call was so close, that there was no way Phil Luckkett could say that there is pure evidence to there being a foward pass. Good call by Luckkett.

  • I got goosebumps. Hands down best thing that has ever happened for the titans

  • anyone else got goosebumps??

  • Guys, it doesn't matter where the receiver is - it's where the ball is to where the ball goes that matters. Even though the receiver was well ahead of where the ball was thrown, the ball actually traveled backwards (as you can see by the reach Dyson had to do to even make the catch).

  • looks like somebody pressed the buffalo wild wings button

  • its not a forward pass if anything the ball actually goes backwards dipshits

  • @Mikey5275 Not at all. I have never even been to Tennessee. I'm just someone who has actually watched the breakdown on this play. It's not even close to being a forward pass.

  • @matetheking Oh my God, you incompetent douche. They have had college professor's analyze the play. It absolutely goes backwards. There's videos on it. Watch them.
