Mysterious was beaten next time out in the Irish Oaks at the Curragh by a 10/1 shot from France. It was a major shock at the time and led many to believe that Mysterious must have been below her best - that was until that little known french filly re-appeared the following saturday in the King George at Ascot and waltzed away with the race by 6 lengths. Her Name? Dahlia!
