Why are they using those drums and not the ones of their own country? India has WAY better drums than shitty djembes.

One doesnt have to be an expert or indian to drum. Notice it says stress relief in the description. There are far more applications to drumming than musical prowess and scholarship. Learn to love more, blessings...

pt 4:
as for ginger baker, i didn't know him by name, but after looking him i realize that my old housemate's mom dated him in the 60s. and he does fusion, which i'm generally not a big fan of. i much prefer traditional and classical music.

pt 3:
but in any case, i was remarking that it's funny to see people in another culture use drum circles which in the west were taken from the aforementioned cultures. in so doing i was pointing out the appropriation and potential racism of white people, so i don't see how I get labeled a racist.

pt 1:
how am i racist by pointing out that white people appropriate other cultures? drum circles are usually based on non-western histories, instruments, and techniques (such as Afro-Cuban, African, and Japanese). obviously all cultures evolved drums. and sure there's a mix of drums from various cultures. (i didn't see tabla in there, though).

Racist dickhead pongop
All cultures evolved drums.
Some of those are Indian Tabla drums, but there's a mix.
Mind, you probably never heard of Ginger Baker either.

what a funny sight. indian appropriation of western appropriation of african music. unless this is influenced directly by african music. in any case, i think any people of color have more merit with drum circles than white people. so play on!
pt 2:
while India has folk drumming processions and classical drum ensembles, i don't believe there have traditionally been the kind of drum circles as seen in the West, Africa, Latin America, Japan, etc.
Drum circles in the west are often white people appropriating other cultures, which could be construed as racist. in the video it seems like it's a western style drum circle, or perhaps it's more directly influenced by another culture.
