@KillFilmVol3 well in my basic they did the obstacle course week 1 and then like week 6 or 7 so we could see how much better we got. We also did a completely different one and that one we did only once, which i thought was fun but like you said, could be seen as pointless

@JuniorVell The Army doesn't do bayonet training anymore. Only the Marine Corps does.

When I was in Basic in 93 at Fort Jackson we just shoot from a fox hole mostly with our M16-A2 rifle rested on a sand bag. 100 yard, 200 yard, & 300 yard pop-up targets to hit. I can see after Iraq war started in 2003 some things have changed.

@Esperance1964 idk, probably because it was just something for them to let us do, its like a one time thing then its over and you never really stop and talk about why your doing it or what it helps you with, im sure if they changed it to be more tactical itd be better, but it was kinda pointless. Fun, but pointless.

WAIT WAIT WAIT!!!! DS WILHELM WAS MY DS WHEN I WENT THRU BACK IN JULY 07!!!! We were his last cycle. Hard he's in Korea right no and was getting 1st Sgt. So now he might be 1st Sgt (P) or even CSM Wilhelm. Nice to hear his name again...good times good times lol
