  • Grow up or die? I doubt it.

  • I love how Bill Maher quotes terrorists to represent the religion of Islam. Lemme explain, there are 1.6 billion Muslims in the world. When one small group of barbarians, calling themselves Muslims do something that no Muslim would do, then no matter how much "evidence" you give me, they are not Muslims. Muslims follow the Quran. When you commit suicide, you aknowledge you're going straight to hell, so if you do it intentionally, you're not a Muslim.... Not that hard to understand...

  • ok no probs

  • @KingHobum Maybe this is what Bill thinks or Maybe it's just sensationalism. Nevertheless. It's been fun conversing with you:)

  • @KingHobum I think the last part was sensationalism, but I do believe wars would not stop. However, wars would also be a little bit smarter than religion. The Al-Queda is misguided in interpreting the Q'uran. If there was no blind dogma (what I'm focusing on) then maybe they would stop and think "Hey this doesn't make sense...I mean virgins?" So maybe if they thought of it first maybe it wouldn't lead to all these things. And its a movie is in the end, And does what a movie should: Entertain.

  • @KingHobum True, but Hindu religions also force traditional things such as no widow can ever get married, or no caste system can be married to a lower or higher caste system. The point I was making is that with flaws like these using logic and saying "That's kind of wrong." is logical. Yet, eastern tradition, like western tradition links to religion falsely and creates eastern DOGMA. Which I think is wrong. And I think Bill is referring to that portion of religion which destroys lives

  • @KingHobum Either that or Maher was just using sensationalism :)

  • @KingHobum Well western traditions such as philosophy gave birth to western religion, I think what he was trying to prove is that western traditions and western religions are two different things and we often mix them up and have pre-conceived ideas as a result. I do apologize for making you apologize for using an example :) However, if you look at it atrocities also happened in the east due to the eastern philosophy and religion. I think what Maher was trying to say is that DOGMA must die

  • @KingHobum As far as the frontal lobe is concerned, I was simply joking with you. Sorry if that offends you. Of course Maher is not the most intelligent man in the world. However, I think what he might be saying is that no one knows after-life better or worse than him because technically we have never achieved after-life. And if we do, our corpse wouldn't make the best witnesses. :)
