The set was student built. The scene change took place during an intermission.

That is quite a large stage for a highschool. That has to be the shittiest Set I've seen yet for noises off. Also someone forgot to tell the light crew that Deck crew is supposed to scene change in Blackout

I ran spot on Batboy for a long ass time at Union Square Theatre. If you saw it, I was the asshat climbing the truss stage right in the bright yellow harness at the top of the show. Good times.
