Preparing my scooter for a Malossi 70cc big bore kit. Parts will be in by the end of the week. Just doing what I can till then. For those that don't know the Kymco Cobra Racer has the same engine as the air cooled Super 9 and a few others but the Super 9 is most likely the most popular.

  • I hope you had better success than I did with the 70cc kit. Went through about 15 of them on 2 different Cobras... Getting them jetted correctly was a real pain on the hills of NC. Would run rich on the flats, but taking hills would start into a lean out, even installed a thunder jet setup for snowmobiles...

  • @mlnhead1 i failed the first time but it was do to the head bolts being ever so to long so would never really be tight so air was getting in through the base gasket. i then put an aluminum airsal kit on and this time i put some harden steel washers on each head bolt, instantly i new it was all good there. i also put a 19mm carb on it. the bigger carb made it MUCH easier to dial in. i was able to use the stock carb by raising the needle with a very small washer. i sold the bike for $1500.
