Choctaws along with the other so called Indians are really Moors that are indigenous aboriginal to the continent. Checkout "Saga America" by Barry Fell; "They came before Columbus by Ivan Van Sertima and lastly the first hand accounts of Lewis and Clark when acting as scouts for the U.S Govt.

He's ignorant regarding history, that's all. In addition to what you've said, which is true, but, many blacks in this area have Indian ancestry because of that. My grandmother is a full-blood Choctaw and I am New Orleans born and bred.

During the time of slavery, escaped slaves were often assisted by native Americans. In return, they absorbed and learned some of their culture. This, originally is one way of paying respect to that bond. What is minstrelsy about that?
