Super Mario World 96 Exit Walkthrough Part 9 - Twin Bridges (2)

Cheese Bridge Area
Word of advice: Bring a Yoshi. This makes the level half as long and you can get a 1 up and a flying Yoshi to boot! At the start of the level be sure to take the topplatform all the way across, as that leads to the next platform and the midpoint!

In case you didn't bring a Yoshi grabbing onto the ropes moves you along the rope, so be sure to watch out for the saws!


Cheese Bridge Area ( Secret Exit)

You can do this with either a cape or a Yoshi. I personally recommend using a Yoshi, as I find it much easier. To get to the secret exit, get a Yoshi to the end of a level, which entails chain saw hopping with him to the final platform. Once there, jump / fly under the exit and if you're using Yoshi, jump off him to land behind the exit and go to the second exit behind it. Don't forget your 3-Up!

Soda Lake
This level, along with Butter Bridge 2 are the levels that really start to show the increase in difficulty. The best advice I can give for this level is to take it slow, be careful of the Torpedo Teds, as they're much faster than bullet bills and cannot be killed.

Cookie Mountain

This level isn't difficult at all, it almost seems just tacked on to have an extra level. Cookie Mountain is really easy and the only thing special about it is the Sumo Bros. (the guys who throw the lightning bolts), and the can be killed with either a cape attack or by hitting the block underneath them.

I found a really cool mechanic in this game. If you get a midway point and use start and select to exit (after beating the level of course) then get a file save, beat a ghost house, fortress or castle, every time you go to the level that you got the midway point you'll start there. I love to get it at Cheese Bridge and get a blue yoshi any time without having to go through the first half of the level.
