Final Fantasy 13 CP Grinding (Chapter 11)

In the Northern Highplain(top left) of The Archlyte Steppe in Gran Pulse, there is a King Behemoth and Megistotherian fighting each other.

Engage a battle with them, no matter what, you will start with a pre-emptive strike.

The characters you use really don't matter as long as you have:
Relentless Assault (COM-RAV-RAV)
Decimation (COM-RAV-SYN)

During the fight, the first thing you will do is Stagger the King Behemoth, the controlling character must launch Behemoth the second he breaks, or else he'll just transform into his second form. Let the other characters beat on the Behemoth while you keep him juggled. He'll die pretty quick.

During the first Launch on Behemoth, on the LAST attack, you switch to Decimation to let the Synergist Haste your team. This will take until the LAST hit on the SECOND launch.

Turn around, and just kill the Megistotherian with COM-RAV-RAV, he doesn't do much damage, and attacks incredibly slow, so he shouldn't be a problem.

This entire process takes about 50 seconds. You get 6600 CP. Run back a little past the save point, turn around, and they respawn. Rinse and repeat for 6600 CP that takes about a minute and 20 seconds.

Warning: Occasionally, the behemoth will transform to his second stage before you can launch him. In this case, hit start and then retry the fight. =D

are you using the egg? are your characters very powerful for this fight? i had just arrived in the steppes and was wondering about CP grinding and didnt know if i could do this right now or not

I am not using the egg.

My characters are slightly beefcake at this point, as I had been doing it for a while, but I promise you, you can do it without being too far leveled; I did this nearly as soon as I entered the Chapter 11 area on my second play through. It's all about strategy and Triangle. =P

All your characters are maxed on the Crystarium. You have obnoxious amounts of gil.

I figured this out, and posted this, during my first run through of the game. Look at the "Added" tag. -_-; Also, this was before killing Neochu, which, by a lot of standards, is just not worth getting in Chapter 11.

Sorry no point 4 is because i have reach the word limit so i deleted it.

I suggest to go to other fight and use reset is use after you kill the two monster.

They will "reborn" after you take another fight no matter u win the next fight or just reset.

The single KB(King Beheemoth) is near the save point fight it and reset use less time than save and load(FF13 need about 30s to load a save).So point 5 is tell u how to save time after kill the 2 monster but not tell u to kill the single KB..

No, you're not understanding; You don't need to save and reset.

You just run up to the save point, and at that point creatures in a certain radius respawns.

There's no reason to save and reset after each fight, you just run TO the save point, turn around, run back down and the monsters will be there again. No need to actually interact with the save.

Congratulations? You just said exactly what this video is..? It's faster to just restart the fight if he changes forms, in chapter 11, he'll rape you. Don't get into another fight, just goto the save to restart.

Please actually read and look at the video before commenting.

@ShuraHaidate Late response, but the behemoth king is vulnerable to curse, even in his upright state. It's possible to play defensively until he's cursed and almost staggered, then go all out and defeat him. It takes a damn half hour if you're just coming out of chapter 10, but you'll still get 5 stars.

@RedMage86 He hits so hard becuase he got his crystarium up trainning there. You always get a premeditive strike so to keep him from standing on 2 legs keep him knocked into the air with you commando. after you take care of him the fight is pretty much won.

how do you hit that hard? i can never kill the behemoth king before he gets on 2 legs then he one shots my party with thunderaga or something

I got my time down to about 36 seconds. I have not completed the game. Spent about 3 hours grinding.

wow is everyone here ultra noobs? 1st billy, ur retarded u dont need to save to make them respawn 2nd jopie, do u seriously not kno how to start a preemptive strike? 3rd Novella im pretty sure we can guess (duhhhhhhhh) just level up and i was gonna put kuunami 4th but he figured out out his own dumb mistake of not going far enough.
