Road Rail Landrovers are used for maintenence where there is little or no access to track by road. The flanged rail wheels (raised and lowered by hydraulics in this model) guide the vehicle along the track, while the road wheels give traction on the rail head. The vehicle here is shunting at Ardlui (West Highland Line) in February 2009.
