Dan Jones talking about how the placebo effect triggers cellular changes

This case was taught to me during my training. It is also mentioned in many books on Placebo's. The outcome was the man got better. A few months later the trial results were released to show the drug was useless. This led to the man relapsing. He was given a placebo and told it is a stronger form of medication. When he found out all forms of the drug were useless he died of cancer. When the autopsy was done it was concluded that he didn't have enough cancer to kill him.

Here are a few links to information on Epigenetics to start people off given that people clearly are willing to discount this without doing their own research. Much of what I'm talking about is in the books mentioned below and in these books are numerous references. I highly recommend people buy them:

Books include: The psychobiology of gene expression; The psychobiology of mind body healing

TV/Video: Horizon 'Ghost in your genes'; 'The secret life of twins'
