The way they talk about them is a little weird. "And she's the -father- of three lovely children"? Father? I mean they're living as women, right? Why can't they call her the mother? And the way they have men doing the voiceovers... It doesn't sound like the women are very dedicated to voice training, but still. It seems awkward to me.

@MMArancia I agree. Unfortunately, at least in UK, this kind of tg pageant gets broadcast only very rarely indeed, and only then as part of a comedy or entertainment show. Even gg pageants are almost never broadcast in UK.

@jaimojaljubav I actually understand what you are saying to a degree. These people here aren't even identifying as women but as transsexuals. I identify as a transsexual woman but to everyone else I appear as any cis woman. However I am not a "woman" I am a woman, without quotes around it. I'm not less than you I am equal to you. Can I give birth? No, but not every woman born with a womb or vagina can either. This doesn't make us less of a woman. We are real, you are real.

@OneShamelessKid I don't think Tranny is in the same category as faggot. Tranny is just a shortened version of transsexual. I can understand it could be offensive if someone is shouting it at you however. But the word faggot means something insidious. faggot is the term for a bundle of wood. The term faggot in relation to gays is basically saying you want them burned at the stake, a common practice when this term emerged.
