I love her whistling......she had TALENT! Such a shame how Clive Davis treated her. People never like what they don't understand. The music industry didn't really get her. What's not to understand about this woman and her capabilities. Beauty, brains, and a rich soulful voice. She could have been MASSIVE.

Omg this woman is not only drop dead beautiful but her voice is rich, smooth like butter, very melodic. I didn't know much about her because she died when I was a kid. I always loved her song "When you get right down to it" on her last album. Check it out, its AMAZING!

that damn industry, freaking cocaine snatched away most of the greats. Phyllis was bipolar and Donny Hathaway was schizophrenic. Did TV One they ever do anything on Nancy Wilson if cocaine had her too I'm done with the industry.

I'm 17 and a music artist and i love this lady she's a role model. For this lady to be as beautiful, blessed, and talent as she was. I dont see how she would want to harm herself and commit suicide. I mean she had a hella voice and sooooo beautiful. Oooohhh why Ms.Hyman?? :( I dont think there could ever be another person that talented and gifted as her..

@MsChanteJ72 Looked alot like her..she used to wear her hair just like that back in the early 80's and that's when her and Phyllis first met..in 1980. I'm almost positive that's Patti lol!

She was incredibly beautiful. The first thing I notice on every pic of Phyllis is her beautiful eyes. So gifted and so lonely. May she rest in perfect peace.
