@TH3USUALSUSPECT Well I don't what they're flying and there isn't an explosion to see. I don't have too much knowledge of the military but I think that most of their ac-130's have weaponry anywhere from a gattling gun, to a 105mm artillery shell. The apache has a 30mm cannon and hydra/hellfire missile storage. There is variation in the size of the bullet; a 20mm gattling gun uses ammunition the size of maybe your foot, a 105mm gun uses ammo easily the size of your arm, and missiles use warheads

@TH3USUALSUSPECT and a VERY good example of this you can see would be a nuclear bomb. Just watch the videos, the fire ball doesn't touch a THING. It's the radiation(heat, light, etc...) and pressure wave that fucks shit up, not the physical explosion, but byproducts of the explosion.

From the snap of the finger to a nuclear bomb creates sound. Now, take a bomb used in modern war and think about it. If it creates enough pressure( or "sound") waves that build up on each other, or just one big one, it will expand releasing energy trying to reach equilibrium. If this force can knock a wall out, just imagine what it does to a living human...
