@Ragnarok187 I have Bipolar disorder 1, took medication for the first three weeks after diagnosis and then gave em up I have ultra rapid cycling too, I enjoy my mania and the depression doesn't last half as long as the mania and tbh I suffer the depression to enjoy the mania I like who I am and the way I am and the pills changed that I wasn't half as happy and it was boring!

I like that the guy says the goal here is to heal. That is wonderful and how it should be.
He said "There should be no shame in taking a pill to correct a physiological imbalance". Of this I completely agree. One slight problem however. Bipolar, nor any other so called 'mental illness' is a physiological or biochemical imbalance. There is no evidence AT ALL to support the 'chemical imbalance' theory. No evidence to suggest any of these are 'real diseases'. Nothing to suggest these are biological
