(Part 1 of 2) A video I took while on Deployment with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit. This was annual training to keep us certified as the Helo Assault Force within the MEU. Basic intent of Special Purpose Insert Extract (SPIE) is to insert/extract ground Infantry/SF from areas where the Helo's can't land. For example: Jungles, Roof tops, Gas & Oil Platforms, etc...Thanks to the Pilot for allowing me to take my camera with me! Please be advised that there is adult language here, so make sure the kiddies aren't around.

  • @dirkwhirlwind hey thanks man! When I watch it, it feels like just yesterday but it's over 10 years since then....crazy.

No worries mate, I'm just a stickler for A/C ID.

    CH-47 = Chinook (Army) , CH-46 = Sea Knight (USMC), CH-53 = Sea Stallion (USMC).
