@TheHarvardMIT Your personal characteristics are super important at tufts, as well as your writing. My cousin sam is in a top orchestra, scored a 2,000 on SAT's and took all college courses during senior year at UMASS with a 4.4 (weighted) GPA. He's also a very very boring and bland person. Didn't get in.

@ShropITlikeITShot The girl in my class this year only had an 1800 SAT and got in, but the validictorian had a 2100 and was rejected, so it goes to show how random admissions can be.

Congrats on getting in! I graduated from Tufts last year with a B.A. in Sociology, as well as a B.F.A. from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. I'm really intrigued by your work; let me know if you'd like to know more about the combined-degree program or even just taking classes at the Museum School through Tufts.

It's as hard or as easy as you make it. I'm sure that answer doesn't help much...for me, what it came down to was showing Tufts who I am and making myself stand out. If you mean hard in regards to high school test scores and GPA, remember that they're not everything. My grades and test scores we're in the Tufts ballpark but I've known Tufts to reject students with GPA's and test scores that were higher than mine. If you're applying I wish you all the best, it's a great school!
