Pickups sound great! I love the intro to Brown Sugar by ZZ Top. Those pickups nailed that tone.

Sounds sick man. I have a SG standard in which I vintaged out. How would those pups sound in it?? I have an old set of 57' classics in now and they sound great. But dam, those thro baks are sick.........

Those Pickups sound nice but don´t have much low end. At first you don´t heart because you paly well. But plugging my own TOKAI MIJ LP and playing along if was clear to me than the low end is week..

How is it? My older friend has an old d120f hell sell me for $75 bucks. Ive got a '64 Deluxe but ive got the shitty oxford in it....

@jp6l6 No. It depends on what year the R8 was made. Some R8's from '01 and '02 were flametops.
The pickups were about $350 I think. It's on Jon's website. Google throbak pickups.

Hey, Let it Rain is supposed to be played on Strat..lol! The Throbacks sound great. I too broke down & ordered me a set of the 101's. Nice Playing Sky!
