This is the first part of how I play Kashmir on mandolin. I just did it by ear, so it may not be exactly accurate. I'll try to post the rest soon.

  • I don't know much about alternate tunings for mandolin, not sure it's as widely used as for guitar. But it may make it easier to play! Sounds like you have a good mandolin, i would love a vintage Gibson.

  • would it be possible to get a kashmir tab your version is the best ive heard

  • Thats real good. I can play the song on the guitar. I tried for years, and failed. I had the sound, and played it over and over. from 1976 'till now. I found out MR Page tuns the guitar to DADGAD an old Irish tunning. Do think a mandolin should be tuned to an odd setting. I have an old gibson F5 that my dad bought new in 1933. The neck cracked on a train trip. Gibson raplaced it. They kept it for 2 years. I got a cheap one to keep me in form. Kevinpaul
