The Air Force post-deployment health reassessment is designed to identify Airmen's health issues that can emerge in the months following their most recent deployment.
this is the third site I've seen today. Apologies. I'm going to reveal my age, forty-eight. Seperated, US Army Cavalry. Drill Sergeant & Committee Group Infantry Instructor - Squad - level tactics, Fort Benning. Beleive it or, not. University education, twenty year paramedic, have PTSD under control by early detection. A fellow trooper placed his hand on my shoulder, "lets talk", that's it, that's all it took and, why I'm humping self disciplined PT, refamiliarizing everything, weapons to candy
....and, I'm a good guy. Honeymoon? They 'freak out' in the field, afraid peers may see them, it's hidden until they get home, they talk and, talk - no one hears them, in fact, told to hush-it by parents, spouses, friends etc. Yes, they're 'hushing-it' in their room, backyard, garage and, alone when they do it. Investigators don't find many suicide letters, do they? Ask the online persona, why? Simple, they we're told to 'hush-it', so they do. Typical, civil therapist volunteer to embed? No.
This is the problem, it needs to be identified in the field - before - it gets to this point. MD Phd's - should know this. By the time your Airmen are supposed to login or, call, they won't. It's an issue of trust, they don't and will not respond. "Depression" "Anxiety" "Agoraphobia" how many record 'NOS?' is secondary - ask the online persona, why? VA physician - USAF MD wasn't there, didn't have his/her ass in the grass, excuse me, sand when stress & fatigue killed them before departing.
So, I made a B in Comp II. A Poli Sci Major, not an 'English' teacher.
