They used to give the Janitors the night off because Roy Head was performing LOL he would clean the stage up perfectly I loved this guy LOL

It was 1965 and San Antonio was fallin' down crazy over Roy Head! What a shame he really didn't get the recognition he deserved. I still have my old '45 and play it occasionally. You can't sit down when you hear Roy and that should'a been trademarked SCREAAAAAM! Love him, love him!

True story . I think it was 1980. Back then all was a little blurry. But, I met Roy. He and I were both booked for an all day festival show at the Bell in Augusta, Ga. So were about 15 other acts. Roy and I had something in common, we both enjoyed Tequila. Well, as usual I had a half gallon in my travel case. When it was my time to show, I made it. Barley. Roy' s slot was to close. The promoter had to change it because Roy wouldn' t have made it He went after me. Good times. Roy was fantastic.

Roy sure is something else. He still has it now. Underrated and forgotten by many, Roy never got the correct representation for his eccentric show. He has that electric and unpredictable edge.
