Workshop on Occupational health
and infection prevention at ERIC WILLIAMS MEDICAL SCIENCES COMPLEX
MOUNT HOPE, TRINIDAD & TOBAGO June 2009.
With participation of Front-line health-care workers, occupational health practitioner, infection control practitioner, health and safety committee members, and other employees responsible for infection/ occupational health prevention programs. The course objectives: •Learn about the best practices of an occupational health and infection control program
•Increase knowledge and skills on infection control principles and proper selection and use of personal protective equipment
•Learn how to conduct a) workplace risk assessment in hospital settings and b) assess risk for potential communicable disease exposure in clinical settings.
