Ethics don't just happen. I like that comment. I read a book called "The Lucifer Effect" and Zimbardo talked about ethics and how rationalizations and justifications give people permission to do very evil things (ie: I didn't hit her that hard. They aren't human anyway. Everybody dies, what's one more life). People don't like to examine themselves or talk about uncomfortable things (I've found anyway). They quickly grab for an excuse or defense and this is insanity to me.
One of the interesting things that scientology does when you are a member, is the assign you an 'ethics officer'. This supposedly externalizes ones ability to determine what is and is not ethical behavior: only your 'ethics officer' can know if you are or are not 'out ethics'.
Wingedblue, I would love to see you make more videos. Thank you! :O)
