No such thing as rising fastball. Lift force must exceed weight of ball in order to "rise". Another myth busted.

  • @y11971alex That is exactly what it is. A "rising" fastball is just a fastball that is high.

  • I think the "rise" actually means that the ball drops less, not that it actually reverses the downwards direction, so the rising fastball is actually still dropping.

  • @grayfox211 Because they are. Mustaches, taupe's, laughs. All tell tale signs of a gay.

  • Was this before after roger clemens did steroids? Hahaha

  • @deebowandelsyou Exactly. With the right velocity and proper spin, it can give the impression that a fast ball rose up, when it actually just didn't dip down when the batter thought that it would--or to the extent he anticipated. It's more of an optical illusion than anything, I guess.

  • @baseballaficionado "submariners throw too slow. "...... dumbass -_-'

  • the mythbusters swing like fags

  • lol roger clemens.. dumb juicer that doesn't know what vegan is.

  • @MATT84z No the Gyroball is one which looks like it is a regular high fastball but sharply drops at the plate. It's like a slider but behaves differently. Altitude and humidity play a big part in this which the Mythbusters didn't really cover.

  • @baseballaficionado submariners don't throw slow hahah
