As a massive fan of the old 2D EWJ games I had always been intrigued by his one and only 3D outing. When I finally got to try it...oh dear. You know what they say, never meet your heroes, and don't get your hopes up for 3D adaptations of 2D games.

  • The 3D platformer fad ruined so many great 2D platformer franchises, this one definitely included. If only they put that extra console power into making an extra special 2D game it might have been alright. Well, it probably would not have sold as well because all the kiddies wanted 3D shit but it would still have been a far better game.

  • @illustriouschin Agreed! Thought I'd post and let you know that your comments are popping up whilst I'm eating my breakfast :) Thanks for watching my videos!

  • press top c to move the camera away from jim, but of course you being on an emulator and reviewing this game about 10 years after its out you wouldnt know that.

  • Actually, I was using the PC version.

  • Not getting into an argument about whether opinions can be wrong or not, you are objectively and provably wrong. The two blocks are exactly the same, but the ledge-grab doesn't activate for the second one.

And I'm far from the only person who doesn't like the game. You're perfectly entitled to your opinion, but I'm not wrong when I say I did not have fun playing it.

  • i seriously never understood shit of this game when i was like 6-7 years old

  • @TheBigBuzzBee F*** YOU you ignorant bastard!

  • 0:38-0:42 It wasn't GROOVY at all! XD

  • @schaedenfreud82 You're definitely right, though. Three words: F*** THIS GAME.

  • i love earthworm jim so mutch that i was crazy for this games when i was a child, i got the game now and i loved it ! hahaha

  • @illustriouschin They could have even just made everything 3D and left it as a 2D platformer. Just think of how amazing that would have been, and waaaaaaay before it's time it woulda been.

  • @ChronoTriggerFanDub I think he was just questioning what the significance of where and why the hamster was placed there. The original had hamsters you could ride and it was original. The 3D version just tried to cut and paste in a 3D world and it wasn't original at all or as fun.

  • Along with this game, Golden Axe:Beast Rider and Perfect Dark: Zero were the worst classic remakes I've ever played.

  • Does the PC version have the same levels as the N64 version?

  • As a kid this was the only earthworm Jim game I've ever played, and of course now I'm blinded by my nostalgia to like this game. It's too bad I never got to play the 2D games though.
