Slack Key Festival & Hula Video

One of the O'ahu festivals I have played at. I wish my edits were better, a friend took this video and almost dropped the camera! I put some still shots of my wife dancing in that section but couldn't get the timing right when the video returns...my wife is a good dancer and was not "off" the music, it was my inability to edit that causes this. This one I was joined by Shawn Ishimoto on guitar, and Bobby Ingano on steel guitar. My wife Sue joins us for some hula, the song is "Ku'uipo i ka he'e pu'e one" written by Princess Likelike. My wife was the only hula dancer of the day. I find this unfortunate, because slack key was the first "music" to accompany hula. There should be more hula, but maybe the players don't want to drop the solos from their songs! :)
