Thanks. I and my wife paying a heavy price-- our son in the throes as you describe. Thanks again for documenting. ....

@AndrewRaimonSavage I am bipolar, and I have never had the feeling of wanting to kill anyone while manic. Manic episodes are more about euphoria and grandiose thinking. But that doesn't mean that some people with bipolar might murder someone. I agree strongly with what xXxXBleedPurpleXxXx said about us needing love and to trust your intuition. I wish you the best! Feel free to message me anytime if you have any more questions.

Well I think you did the right thing. You didn't kill anyone and you did the world a service.

@Blingblong20 theres many things that can cause bipolars disorder, anything from the doctors having to use forceps at your birth, your mother not wanting you, to it simply being passed down from person to person throughout the family. it's not our fault, and we aren't crazy.

@AndrewRaimonSavage dont listen to everybody else, listen to your intuition, if things are getting too intense, and you can't handle it, and its effecting your every day life maybe you need to back off, but as someone with bipolars, the one thing i need, that keeps me level, is love and at least an attempt to understand. bipolar people push, we push people away to find out who's going to really stick around through the bad, not too many have so i've accepted being alone.

@AndrewRaimonSavage i'm bipolar, and only once had the actual urge to kill, i was very young, 15 or 16, being tourmented and bullied on the bus, and the boy i was being bullied by turned back around, and i came about a cm away from stabbing him in the neck with a pencil, but i turned my hand, and punched him in the back of the head instead. i've always wondered about that because it wasnt just something that clicked and happened, it progressed from years of torment.

I don't mean to offend anyone on here by asking the following question, but I need to know because someone I really love has manic depressive disorder. Are manics more likely to murder people, especially those nearest to them? A friend told me that they were and that I should get out of the relationship before the woman I love kills someone.

Wow reading this i think my friend has bipolar disorder, i lover but she is driving me mad and i'm not always in good mental shape myself. I'm gonner do some reading up on this, thank you so much for shareing your experances, i now have a better understanding of bi polar.
I'm not sure if I have bipolar disorder, but Ive been feeling very strange lately. Sometimes when I'm with friends or around other people, my heart starts to beat really fast and I start hearing them talk about me behind my back, I get really anxious, paranoid and self-concious... that usually lasts a day or two... (The first time this happened i thought I was going crazy, it was a very unsettling experience) Then I get lathargic and severley depressed. Do you think I'm bipolar?

Impotatoes, I can't diagnose you, you might have bipolar, it might be schizophrenia. I would seek help and I wish you well.

I mentioned somewhere else, how my wife was manic for 3 days and I got her put in the hospital. Then I said I felt bad about it. Well, onight is the 2nd night shes there, I went to see her today, and she was crashing into the depressed state. Well, here I am, and I honestly feel a surge of energy fullfilling my body. Im hearing music, Im seeing colors brightly, and I am up all night making up sentences with 23 words.

That sounds very bad for both of you, I hope you seek help because it sounds as though you're not well either. Good luck
