Independent analyst Jeremiah Owyang, Mass Animation founder Yair Landau, ReelFX COO Kyle Clark, and Intel online programs manager John Cooney, have a fascinating panel Sept. 23, 2009 at Intel Developer Forum, regarding the Facebook-based collaborative animation project, "Live Music," to be released in theaters and on the web Nov. 20. Discussion centers on, does crowdsourcing mean lowest common denominator quality, or can collaborative animation take on Pixar and DreamWorks? (At request of MA, I have left out animation excerpts, but my own opinion is that their effort is pretty damned good for a crowdsource.)
