  • Well, josseppie, your notions about growth are antiquated. In nearly every case, growth costs a community more than it brings in prosperity, and quality of life declines. I suggest someone who wants to live in a big city, move to a big city. Some good prospects for you: Atlanta or Los Angeles. I hope you like it. Personally, I'd like to spend a lot less time in traffic, breath clean air, and have a secure, abundant, clean water supply.

  • Also, I could suggest some nice small cities for you to live in (Cheyenne, Casper, Billings, Grand Junction or Trinidad to name a few).

  • The problem with you argument is that Pueblo was founded to be one of the largest cities in Colorado. This is due to our location and lay out. But due to certain situations in the last century it did not happen but now that those have been corrected we are on our way again, we are the only city that has a chance to pass 1 million in the state and I think we will.

  • Growth is not bad but it needs to be managed with investing money to improve you city at the same time. Pueblo has done both (we have a 1/2 cent sales tax for economic growth, fully fund PEDCO every year, built a riverwalk and convention center) and now we have a great city to live in that is growing nicely. Personally, I hope you keep you blitz up in the Springs that way the new growth comes to Pueblo and we pass the Springs as the States second most populous city.

  • this city government is so crooked.. people should be so mad at the mayor and city council. they misuse our cops , they are thiefs , they should be impeached. shame on city council and mayor and city government for not being able to run the city properly, they use cops to balance the budget while crime goes up, dave is so right. you go dave i am gald you speak up. so many people do not . you are great dave .. keep up the fight you are intellegent..you have done your homework.!!!. tony tyler.

  • Thanks for watching, ckclaybaker. I hope someone in your community is watching out for water supply, air quality and quality of life for your grandchildren. If that makes me a protectionist, I'll wear that as a badge of honor. If you'd like to learn a little more about sustainability, just let me know and I'll point you in the right direction.

  • This is a very negative, protectionist individual. I'm glad he doesn't live in my community.
