A song about two atomic physicists in love (or least that's how I see it). This is the German band MIA. (no, not the Sri Lankan/British grime artist) with a song called Tanz der Moleküle (Dance of the molecules) from a live session on a German radio station by the name of FM4.

My English translation:
I am here, because it's where I belong
I am in love from top to toe
You are brave for promising to be true to me
With all those pretty souvenirs around us

Talk to me
In that beat
That makes this song into our hit
Break the beat
With feeling
You are so lovely because you are laughing

My heart is dancing
And every molecule is in motion

Do you think the same as me, that everything could be great
As long we are together

Break the ice
With the step
That makes every breath a risk
Hold me
With feeling
It is so lovely, when you laugh

My heart is dancing...
And every single positron is discharging

You. My heart.

The actual German lyrics:
Ich bin hier, weil ich hier hin gehör'
Von Kopf bis Fuß bin ich verliebt
Du bist mutig weil du mir Treue schwörst
Zwischen all den schönen Souvenirs

Sprich mich an,
in dem Takt,
der dieses Lied zu unser'm Hit macht
Brich den Beat,
mit Gefühl.
Du bist so schön weil du lachst

uuhuhuh...uhuhuhuhuuhu
Mein Herz tanzt
uhuhuuu
Und jedes Molekül bewegt sich

Glaubst du wie ich daran,
Dass alles gut sein kann,
Solange wir zusammen sind?
Brich das Eis,
mit dem Schritt,
Der jedes Atmen zum Wagnis macht.
Halt mich fest,
mit Gefühl.
Es ist so schön wenn du lachst.

Uhuhu...Uhuhuuhuhuhuhuhu
Mein Herz tanzt
Uhuhu
und jedes Molekül bewegt sich

Und jedes Positron entlädt sich

Du Mein Herz

  • I like the official video better, but I love the song-even more with a translation better than Google's. I like the idea of dancing molecules, whether or not it is because you are in love. Thanks for the videos-maybe some Klee?

  • @gchazaliae I actually tried to upload the official video a couple of months ago, but it instantly got banned in most of the world, because of copyright issues. But I have noticed that this rarely happens with live recordings so that's why I tend to upload them instead of the official music videos. Thanks for noticing me about Klee. I hadn't heard about them before.

  • now i'm stuck on this. damn. ^^

but its definitely not about two physicians. its just about the abstract emotions of love. just because germans tend to speak use science when they speak about life doesnt mean were all physicians. ^^

  • Alas, either Sony or GEMA (the German performing rights society) has blocked the video, probably because YouTube won't pay them enough money. I get very frustrated about it because I want to legally buy music from another country (or view their videos) but can't. I don't understand how that protects rights or saves them money. It is a shame, because I think the Tanz der Moleküle video is really fun (ditto Zirkus).

  • @gchazaliae

Hey, can you tell me where I can find the official video on youtube?? I've been searching for months now, but it's terrible - only live versions nothing else!!

  • Wow

  • Thanks for this. It's one of my favourite German songs. Nice to have a good translation too. I came across your vid as I was looking for another great live version that disappeared off Youtube a while back. It was at one of the big concerts. Something like Rock am Ring. If you see it let me know! In my opinion German songs are well under estimated and here in England they are just about unheard of.
