Going back to around 1964, late one evening, just before the Beatles left Liverpool for London; I remember walking up Seel St or Wood St and hearing a sound which I recognised straight away as the Beatles. They were practising in one of the clubs around that area and I still rember some of the lyrics and part of a tune which I have incorporated into this song. I think if they could meet up and do one more song this is what it would sound like. "Be my friend I said you'd call' was later used in Dr Robert on the Revolver Album.
This is a great story but not all of it is true.

  • Just for the sake of accuracy, Dr. Robert was on Revolver.

  • @SpeaksThruSong92

    you're right - it's on Revolver - I'd forgotten.

  • As a scouser, I know that walking down Seel Street on your own after dark is not a good idea! Maybe it was different in the 60's!

  • @TROUSERFLAP

Yes - Bold St was always Ok after dark but the next few streets you had to watch out who was about.

  • The last song recorded by the four Beatles was The End, yet, the last song recorded for an album was I Me Mine.

  • who the hell disliked it who im gona kill them

  • Nice! Sounds like it could have been included on Rubber Soul or Revolver.

  • if this werea song id find under abbey road according to sound genre

  • I was just about to get annoyd discovering that it is not at Beatles song, but actually it is really, really sweet :-) A nice and loving tribute. Well done!

  • in the description: 'none of it is true.' ftfy

  • This is a sad song....

  • for the record the last recording by all four Beatles together was Abbey Road...The Long and Winding Road was obviously from Let it Be but Let it Be was shelved and Abbey Road recorded.

The distinction tThe Long and Winding Road has is it was the last record RELEASED by the four together.

  • @nedding09 I have Revolver. Whats this called? I think its a really cute song!

  • @Standrew777 free as a bird wasn't really the last recorded by the beatles, considering john lennon was dead and the beatles long split up.
