@jirkakrtek I didn't realize that until I read this comment! HAHA! I was too focused on the fact that the hands are in front of a green screen, so this isn't a working demo..

I keep seeing AR as something we get information from. Don't forget, there can be another side to it. Information uploaded...to the nueral net lets say...
Think about how once it becomes widely available what the possabilities are, and it will happen fast (look at rate of advancements on cell phones)

@BruceJAX Thanks Bruce - please read the accompanying posts that frame this particular VERY narrow focus on ONE type of AR - and absolutely agree about the impact of LBS and GeoSocial Augmented Reality - in fact that is part three of this series, imagining a world where 'community created AR content' is the norm vs 'brochure ware' AR!

Nice concept.
Kinda shows how much of a mind-blowing oversight it was to not have a camera on there. Even for home-application theres loads of potential.
Not like it would cost much either. (Nintendos managed to put 3 camera's on their 3DS...low quality, but still...3!).

@twdarkflame Totally - tablets are used for AR in many places already (museums, industry etc) but I did this (see link below video for post) primarily to show how a larger screen for general business use can work (and I use my 3G iPad on the streets for many non-camera tasks already anyhow :) - other videos show gaming and film type applications (and include wearing Vuzix AR like glasses - but in this case of course you wouldn't see the 'frame' which I wanted for effect)
