  • Nice work! I'm a big fan of DI gtr and bass > Line 6 gear in the studio - makes post mix sleazy easy.

Ray would sound better using a Neumann ...

  • I've had Ray sing through a Neumann at the studio. Believe it or not, he sounded better through an Audix... However, my main mic for him has been an MXL. The Line 6 stuff sounds great when you take the time to tweak it out....

  • (ah, I wanted to be first to post...)

Sounds great. Of course it helps to be in a pro studio with all the front end gear. Most of the intended and likely users of Record (one man project studios) will probably not be able to achieve these results. I am not knocking Record, I own it and love it, but just pointing out the obvious here...

  • It is the same deal with any program - ProTools, Logic, DP, etc. Aside from recording drums, all you need is one great sounding preamp/compressor/eq at the front of your chain and you can get the same results. The interface for this whole recording was a 002, and the guitars were recorded direct, using the Line 6 POD sounds that come with Record. Bass is direct as well with Bass POD from the program. Vocals and drums were run through studio preamps. All mixing and editing was 100% in Record.

  • Amazing...I'm Hooked

  • "just say yeah?" eh... no

  • Loving the tune. Nice to see a video of Record being used in studio. Keep up the great sound!

  • as a user of reason and record, it's imbeliavable you don't need a super structure to sound well, i got a Tascam fw 1082 and it soundverywell without preamp, it's just awesome.

  • the ID8 is terrible, whats the point of even having record with out Reason. In my perspective, Reason is my keyboard sound board heaven, i don't even have to use the sounds in it, i can create my own, so you have the ID8, what does it do? it has a version of a few instruments, and the synths are terrible. its called software, it's a world that doesn't need hardware

  • I hope most of these studios convert to Record its a really dope program.

  • @Rane909

For your information. I do have Record and Reason. Why would you assume that I don't have or used Record. Check out my Propellerhead Record Review video in the Related Videos section and see for your self. BTW If you don't have a band and you want instruments. You do need Reason. ID8 doesn't have a lot instruments anyway.

  • @iamatis20 like i said to hazmat, YOU DONT NEED ALL THAT EQUIPEMENT. you need a mic and a guitar, or a mic and reason or a mic and a midi controller. it lets YOU choose how you want to achieve the sound YOU want.

  • @Hazmat347 obviously do not have or use the program, their are tons of instruments in the ID8 and they all sound great. besides, if you dont have Reason, you Probably have a band, so its either you DO have reason.. or You DO have that equipement (i thnik every band has atleast a guitar and some stomp pedals, hel, with record they dont need the pedals. just the guitar lol
