Sustainable Economics Conference wrap up

Last week the Green Party hosted a cross-party conference to look at how we can build an economy that works for the long-term — for our children and theirs.

Green Party Co-leader Metiria Turei comments on how much of a success the conference was.

Dr David Suzuki made the key note speech at the conference and spoke about how the environment is the basis for our economy and that if we really wanted to, we could change the economy so that it benefits us and the environment.

There are smart economic solutions that can improve the quality of live and the quality of the environment. We've seen that the focus on growth and old economic theories just isn't working.
