Fantastic Sams, a full-service national hair care salon with more than 40 individually owned and operated locations in Colorado, has teamed up to with Matters of Trust, an environmental public charity organization, to help with the monumental oil spill clean-up in the Gulf. Fantastic Sams participating salons will be cutting, collecting and sending in their guests hair to help with the massive effort. How would a haircut help this major worldwide initiative? Hair naturally soaks up oil spills so Matter of Trust has enlisted the help of Fantastic Sams of Colorado to help aid in this effort which could take more than a month.

The nonprofit group Matter of Trust has turned recycled hair and fur into oil spill clean-up mats and containment booms for more than 10 years. Interested Colorado residents can go into any Fantastic Sams in May and all clipped hair will be collected for this critical cause.
