quick question... if joseph smith was a prophet of your church and you believe in him and what he said, why doesn't the LDS believe in polygamy anymore as the FDLS does? if you question and ban one part of mr smith's teachings, why trust anything he said and wrote? i've always wondered about this.

We believe in continuing revelation. God commanded that polygamy be stopped in 1890.

All Christians believe in a similar pattern. Consider the changes before and after Christ.

There is a time and place for everything in the Lord's plan.

Thou shalt not take away or add to the World of God. Anyone who adds will be added the horrible plagues mentioned in Revelation. Anyone who takes away will lose all access to the tree of life for all eternity. Go ahead. Call me a fool, but if Mormonism was the true Gospel, then why wasn't it accepted and followed in the very beginning? The Word of God came, then everyone else came up with a whole bunch of nonsense because they rejected the Truth!

@galatianstwo21 LDS teach that Jesus died so all could live again, they teach that everyone will receive a Kingdom through Jesus blood, (except Satan and his Angels and those that actually knew God then rejected him) Does your new belief teach that those that don't believe in Jesus will go to hell to burn for all eternity?

@pimpmyride666 By your biblical reference I am assuming you are talking about revelation 22:18. Biblical Scholars have established that the Book of John was written AFTER the book of Revelation. Thereby if Revelation 22:18 was correct, then the whole book of John would have to be dismissed.

Hello. I am curious as to why you left your Baptist roots and became a member of the LDS church. I once was a Mormon but about three years ago I was told the true story of who Jesus is. Was told just how important His life, death, and resurrection was in order to save mankind. The truth behind the cross was something that was not taught. I had no real assurance or trust that anything I did as a Mormon would be enough. And Jesus did everything when we could do nothing, :-} @MormonGurl1208

heres my thinking on science. yes, there had to be the big bang theory!! because od had to create the universe somehow!!! if he is smart enough to make human kind wih individual likes and looks and everything about nature then he was smart enough to make everything that made up everythig in everything!!!!! isn't that what science is!!!! finding out the smallest little detail!!!!! if i am wrong please correct me!!! but just think!!! he had to make everything so he soud know all right?!

I have been in the presence of the current prophet President Thomas S. Monson in the Kirtland Temple, and I know as a fact that he is the prophet of the Lord on the earth today. He speaks our Heavenly Father's words and is a servant of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The Truth IS once again on the earth and I am extremely thankful for it. May Heavenly Father bless all who seek to do righteously.
