so to answer your first question I do not know whether a demon was physically inside of me, attached to my head by its head or whatever! haha. i know I am free and not struggling! haha. And that demons can only have authority over me if I let them.

Your line of thought totally makes sense though. If someone is saved and OWNED by God, then how can the devil possess or own them? Great logical question! :) But translatons of the Bible that translate daimonizai to possess do a disservice to the Greek's definition. Blue Letter Bible is always good to check out the Greek so that you can solidify theological questions by just reading the Bible in its original language. Well actually as far as I can tell, the Bible makes no distinction in the Greek about levels of demonization. The word daimonizai (specifically referring to demonic afflictions directed at an individual), is the word used in the Greek in Matthew 4:24. And other time sin the Word, Greek words that could mean oppression coming from a human or demon...

hi, i have a question. by what you wrote here, does that mean you had a demon inside you? i knew Christians can be oppressed by one, but not possessed by one--especially if you are filled with the Holy Spirit (speaking in tongues.) just wondering what you thought about that. thanks.

This is good, Patricia. Really.

Unfortunately, through the advent of social networks such as Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, etc, this spirit spread through the world like wildfire. I have a coworker who's not even a believer, but still resisted joining one of those because of this very mindset. It consumes people from the inside like a cancer or a parasite, and seems to thrive on the desperation and great vulnerability in people who've never felt loved. I look forward to reading your book!

Thanks Patricia! This was awesome to hear about this spirit from somebody else. Before I got saved, about five years ago, I was totally enslaved to narcissism (unknowingly). Then about 8 months ago I was praying in tongues and I would start to get sick. This went on for about two weeks, finally I heard God speak to me "its a spirit of narcissism, pray in tongues until you throw it up." So I did! Since then my joy has gone to a new level!
