This is the best yet fire system invented. I present to you the Amerex KP fire system. The Amerex KP Restaurant System is a pre-engineered, wet chemical, stored-pressure type with a fixed nozzle agent distribution network. In either automatic or manual actuation the system works in this manner:
1. When a fire starts, the detection network, consisting of fusible links or pneumatic tubing, will automatically detect the fire or the manual pull station can be used, releasing a low pH agent throughout the hood, duct and onto the appliances.
2. Either method of actuation will interrupt gas or electrical power to the appliances preceding system discharge.
3. The Amerex KP agent quickly suppresses the fire and cools the fuel while securing the vapors with a smothering foam reaction.
The combination of the Amerex KP system and an Amerex Model B260 or B262 Wet Chemical extinguisher provides restaurants with a ONE-TWO attack against the threat of business loss due to cooking operation fires. So enjoy..dont forget part 2 and to comment or rate.

  • Everything looks good but no vent check on actuation. Yep 2-14178 will do the job and will keep it at 4 flow. The guy talking about Ansul links and nozzles needs to get a job doing something else if he can't determine nozzles. Maybe when ge moves out of keeping inventory he will get some field experience.

  • @coldfiresoutheast Yeah theres no vent check at the moment. but as soon as we take the test bottles down. I promise you the vent plug will be present. Thanks for your concern.

  • The exhaust fan is running. The fresh air is on, while cooking. Then the system dumps and the fresh air turns off, the exhaust stays running to suck out smoke. Did that answer your question?

  • What other brands do you install?

  • @RamAir02TA77 All brands, really. From ansul to pyro-chem,kidde,range guard, badger, buckeye, saftey first. But the best most expert well engineered system is Amerex!

  • Glad we are all mature here. Good job on the Amerex install guys. We are 20 mins from the factory and we've had a wobderful relationship with them since they made their first dry chem hand held.

  • @smsharrock1 comment FAIL.......................

  • @coldfiresoutheast if it were an ansul system and the test was done on a minday could you see these nutts!!!!

  • @coldfiresoutheast well can you service these nutts!!!!

  • @coldfiresoutheast ...

Very true on the number of flows on a single drop...this range is covered with 2 x 14178 on a single drop, centered in two seperate 4 burner modules, which is very much compliant. In this scenario the center two burners are double covered.

  • Nice try on the Ansul link brackets...Ansul are only about 8 inches long, these are definately longer than that...

Another nice try on this being a pre-piped hood, and how would you know if it was pre-piped for Ansul or any other system?

Annnnndddddd, how could you possibly tell if they are Ansul nozzles or Amerex from this video?

Nice try all around, Amerex King stands!!!
