Leftists shout down former congressman at UNC-Chapel Hill

Leftist students assaulted a police officer and broke a window during a speech given by former congressman Tom Tancredo at UNC-Chapel Hill on Tues., April 14. The protesters raised a banner that read, "No one is illegal," interrupting the speech. Police had to shut down the event to protect Tancredo. Police arrested six protesters, and UNC Chancellor Holden Thorp apologized on behalf of the administration.

UNC-Chapel Hill's Youth for Western Civilization (YWC) invited former Congressman Tancredo to give a speech opposing in-state tuition benefits to illegal immigrants. The Leadership Institute awarded a ROCK speaker grant to the YWC students, which enabled them to host the event.

Yea.. too bad Faux-news & the media wasn't as condemning of the Bush campaign's muzzling of free-speech during the 2004 campaign or the Republican right's thuggish protests that shut-down the lawful Florida vote recount in 2000. It's terrible only when those "Leftists" do it..
