Credit 911 Medical Collections Petition

A medical collection account can strike without warning. Perhaps a Doctors office or hospital failed to send a bill, or didnt have a current address for you. Maybe there was a miscommunication with an insurance provider. Whatever the reason, these collections can wreak havoc on your credit. Many times, you may not even be aware they exist until its too late, and the damage has already been done to your FICO scores. I believe that millions of Americans are unfairly penalized as a result of these accounts, and that, within 30 days of having been paid off or settled, any derogatory item should be PERMANENTLY removed from an individuals credit report. I im close to a thousend dollers in debit for haveing the flu. thay dint send me shit and now its already gone to the debit collection nazies. it sucks im trying to get my ged done to enlist in the Marines and now im held back till its paid. im way fucking pissed.

ANY medical emergency can destroy your credit nowadays. This proposal just scratches the surface of the problem. Hospitals now send unpaid bills to Collections just 2 mos after service. They don't want to give patients time to reallocate/protect their assets. I've been told this by 2 hospital billing departments. This means that services not covered by your insurance will be in collections (and on your credit report) sometimes before you've even gotten out of the hospital and back to work.
