The Kings, Queens and Pretenders of the Kingdom of Portugal from King Afonso I to Dom Duarte, Duke of Braganza. The Kingdom of Portugal existed from 1139 under King Afonso I until 1910 when a revolution overthrew King Manuel II. There was also a period during which Portugal was united with the Kingdom of Spain. It is worth remembering that Portugal was the first country to have an overseas empire and the last to see their's fall.

  • They modernize the country during 19th cenutry create the infrastruture for the modern portuguese state railroads industry etc they maintain and empire from Minho to Timor with only handfull milions thati n early phases of the empire werent more than 1 milion! 1 Milion souls manage to surpassed and show to the rest of Europe what they would make of if this isnt imprisive monarchy then you realy have to check you historical sources and probaly a neurologist to chek up your brain

  • They protect tradition and peoples rigths during medievla and modern times with example of forais very different to English Norman Feudalism people actualy had rigths the Nobiliy and Aristocracy wasnt so stritct to corrupt elites but instead had effcient and brave folk the elites actualy could shift in case of natioanl emergency such in late 1300s and better men would rise to the job many of wich had comoner origins where I see this happen ever in British Monarchy?

  • Imperial Colonial Power that control Asia Africa and European trade from the centuries of XV to XVII being a inspiration to all other european powers that soon folowed into becoming colonial powers themselfs even after its peak in asia it still reach new eras of gold with their american lands (gold of Brasil for example) and afterwards with African Colonies. Colonies that actualy clash with british interesets in one ocassasion a force of locals lead by a portuguese defeat anotheron leadbybritish

  • @CarradiceFrench The British monarchy end up being controled and checked by Parliament the Portuguese Monarchy ruled the country for more than 700 years with full powers until 1800s and hence forth with Liberal system but even so it still intervene in politics so much that they were blamed for being the actual power behind a apparent "liberlaism" during the time of these monarchy the moors were beaten and reconquered the spanish attmps of annexation always defeated and created the first and last

  • Impressive, yet they were not quite as impressive as the British monarchs.

  • Good job, but what song is that ?
