@ecclezz33 – You are right, Landis should have done a proper drama about these two – as you say the real story is a lot more gruesome - and interesting. I did come across an interesting video for a documentary here on youtube while doing a search for Burke and Hare which I think looks very good –you can find it by searching for “burke and hare documentary”

@drewjmwilliams actually they weren't scottish, they were from northern ireland, which is different from the southern accent most people expect- must say their accents are spot on :P

Burke and Hare were irish immigrants working as navvys on the union canal, hence the irish accents.
