@Sibadd recommend a good place to get one? i was thinking about making at least the handle myself, but then i thought it would be pretty laborious to find the right shape branch or steam-press it...i really want one though, i can't handle all the noise anymore, i'm already deaf and it still hurts lol

Just finished scything someone's allotment for them, with the unpleasant noise of a grasswhacker in the background. Long live the scythe. Down with the strimmers!

These are the first people I've seen mowing who aren't bent over. It seems as if keeping upright is easier on the back.

what grass is that? is it an intentional crop of hay and if so, how many tons to the acre did you get?

@mattybock Its newly planted about 3 years old at this point, lots of clover and dandilions right now, plus grass... I don't know how much weight/acre etc, but it was/is on the high side when I see the orther people/machines making hay. Hope this helps. P.s we are only cutting twice a year, grazing the third.
