adidas Originals - Ting Tings LA Paint Party

In September, adidas Originals hosted an invitation-only paint party in Los Angeles with The Ting Tings. You may remember the Manchester paint party from earlier in 2009 in which the band and all attendees donned white Firebird track tops and went crazy with colored paints during the performance. Well, we decided to change things up for LA and, this time, everyone wore black adidas Originals Firebird tracksuits and, during the performance, we loaded in hundreds of gallons of bright neon paint.

Every adidas tracksuit was transformed from a blank canvas to a one-of-a-kind, wearable work of art. The neon-splattered venue walls will be refashioned into collectable album covers for The Ting Tings new single, Great DJ. Select artwork from the evening will be on display at the adidas Originals store at 8009 Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles.

The band loved the experience so much that they turned footage from the event into the official music video for "Great DJ."
